Ms. Rumsey earned a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Simon Fraser University and a Master of Arts in Theatre from UNLV.  Ms. Rumsey has previously taught dance and movement in Ontario, Vancouver and in Victoria at Boston Dance Collective, Dansko, VDC and Kaleidoscope Performing Arts Studio.  She has been a guest ballet and jazz instructor at The Canadian College of Performing Arts. Her recent choreographic works include: Pandora's Locker and The Mummers Masque both by Dean Burry, and The Mahagonny-Songspiel for Saltwater Inc., A Midsummer Night's Dream, Hair, The Rocky Horror Show, The Hobbit, Silverwing, Aladdin, Working The Musical and I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change for Kaleidoscope Theatre.  She has had an extensive performing career that has allowed for much travelling.  She spent 5 years working as a dancer and swing in Las Vegas at the Rio as well as shows at Caesars, Harrahs and Studio 54.  She was a cast member of lavish Broadway revues in Japan and survived three seasons of raucous can-can shows in Dawson City, Yukon.  She was a dancer and singer in the 2001 National Tour of Sixties Mania.  More recently she danced at The Butchart Gardens in "Love Matters", and she choreographed and danced in "Crush" and "Saltwater Soiree" at The Metro Theatre.​
